Marble and Granite Suppliers in Lebanon: Natural Stone Guide
AdvisorLB Team
Natural stone is a Lebanese building tradition. Suppliers stock raw blocks and slabs of imported and regional stone, and have workshops that cut, polish, and bevel pieces for kitchens, baths, stairs, and facades.
Stones available
- White marble (Carrara, Calacatta, Statuario): classic for kitchens, baths.
- Coloured marble (Emperador, Verde Guatemala): dramatic accents.
- Granite: harder, more stain-resistant; ideal for kitchens.
- Limestone, travertine: warmer, softer; good for facades and floors.
- Quartzite: looks like marble, harder like granite.
Surface finishes
- Polished: glossy and reflective — most common indoors.
- Honed: matte, hides scratches better.
- Leathered: textured, contemporary look.
- Flamed/brushed: for slip resistance on outdoor floors.
Care and sealing
- Marble is porous — seal once a year for kitchens, every 2 years for baths.
- Granite needs sealing less often, every 2–3 years.
- Wipe spills immediately — wine, lemon, vinegar etch marble.
- Use stone-safe cleaners; avoid bleach and acidic products.
