Mobile Phone Repair in Lebanon: Screens, Batteries, and Water Damage
Lebanon has a mature phone-repair ecosystem — official authorized service for Apple and Samsung, plus hundreds of independent shops doing screens, batteries, and board-level repairs at every price point.
The most common repairs
- Cracked screen: the most-requested fix. iPhone screens range from USD 60–250+ depending on model and whether you choose OEM, premium aftermarket, or cheaper copy.
- Battery replacement: USD 25–80 for most phones. Worth doing when capacity drops below 80%.
- Charging port / earpiece / speaker: USD 20–60, usually quick.
- Water damage: success rate varies. Powering on a wet phone is the worst thing you can do — leave it off, take it to a board-level technician quickly.
Genuine vs. aftermarket parts
For screens, the trade-off is real: OEM keeps True Tone, optimal color and touch. High-end aftermarket (often labeled "incell" or "OLED soft") looks great but may lose some features. Cheap copies look fine at first but suffer color shift, dead-pixel issues, or yellow tint within months. Always ask what tier you're getting and request a warranty in writing.
Authorized vs. independent
Authorized repair (Apple Premium Service Provider, Samsung Customer Service Plaza) keeps your warranty intact and uses genuine parts — important if your phone is under AppleCare or original Samsung warranty. Independents are faster and cheaper but may void warranty and trigger "Unknown Part" warnings on newer iPhones.
Before handing over your phone
Back up to iCloud or Google. Disable Find My iPhone if asked, or sign out of accounts the technician needs to bypass. Take a photo of the phone's state. Ask for an estimate in writing and confirm the turnaround.
