Piercing Studios in Lebanon: Safety, Jewelry, and Aftercare
AdvisorLB Team
Professional piercing studios have grown beyond traditional jewellery shops doing gun-pierced earlobes. Modern studios use single-use sterile needles, implant-grade titanium jewellery, and ASTM/ISO-compliant practices.
Common piercings
- Earlobe: the most basic — heals in 6–8 weeks.
- Helix / forward helix / tragus / daith / rook: cartilage piercings, heal 6–12 months.
- Nose stud and septum: heal 3–6 months.
- Eyebrow, navel, nipple: 6–12 months healing.
- Oral piercings (tongue, lip): faster initial healing but specific aftercare.
Choosing a studio
- Needles must be single-use, opened in front of you.
- Piercer should wear new gloves and disinfect the area.
- Jewellery should be implant-grade titanium or 14k+ gold (never plated).
- Ask to see the autoclave certificate.
Aftercare basics
- Saline rinse twice daily for 6–8 weeks (or longer for cartilage).
- Don't twist or play with the jewellery.
- Avoid pools, sea, and bath water during initial healing.
- Don't change jewellery until the studio confirms healing — premature changes set back healing weeks.
