Signage Companies in Lebanon: Storefront Essentials and Permits
AdvisorLB Team
A storefront sign in Beirut might survive 5–10 years of relentless sun, coastal salt, and the occasional storm — or it might peel within a season if the materials and installation were wrong. Signage is one of those things small-business owners underspend on and then regret.
Common signage types
- Flat panel / aluminum composite (ACP): common, affordable, vinyl-graphic or printed. Lifespan 5–10 years.
- Channel letters: dimensional letters, often LED-illuminated. More premium look. Lifespan 10+ years with proper components.
- Lightboxes: backlit single-piece sign. Good for branding visible at night. Verify LED quality and serviceability.
- Window vinyl and frosting: economical for storefronts and offices.
- Vehicle wraps: 3M or comparable wrap film for cars and vans. Done well, lasts 4–7 years.
- Pylon / monument signs: for buildings set back from the road, often part of mixed-use developments.
Permits and municipality rules
Most Lebanese municipalities (especially Beirut) require sign permits, and rules vary on size, illumination, and projection over public space. Reputable sign companies will walk you through the local process or include permit handling in their quote. Skipping permits invites fines and forced removal.
What to ask for in the quote
- Materials and their warranty.
- Power consumption and electrical requirements for illuminated signs.
- Installation method and structural anchoring.
- Service and warranty terms — LED modules, transformers, sealing.
- Removal of old signage if applicable.
