Web Development Agencies in Lebanon: What to Look For
Lebanon's web-development scene is wide — from solo designers building simple sites to mature agencies shipping complex platforms for retail, hospitality, and financial-services clients. Knowing what you're buying makes the difference between a project that ships and one that drags.
Be honest about what you need
- Brochure / marketing site: 5–15 pages, blog, contact form. Often built on WordPress, Webflow, or similar. Mid-range cost USD 1,000–5,000.
- E-commerce: Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom. USD 3,000–15,000+ depending on customization, products, payment integrations.
- Web app / SaaS: custom development on a modern stack (Next.js, Laravel, etc.). USD 10,000–100,000+ depending on scope.
- Internal tools: low-code platforms or custom builds. Highly variable.
What to ask agencies
- Show me three projects similar to mine — what's the URL, who's the contact?
- Who exactly does the work? In-house vs. outsourced?
- What's your post-launch support model?
- What's the tech stack and why those choices?
- How will you handle SEO, accessibility, performance?
Pricing reality
Beware of either extreme: USD 300 "websites" usually mean a template plus your content slapped in (and abandoned); USD 50,000+ for a brochure site usually means you're paying for sales overhead, not better craft. The middle is where most quality lives in Lebanon.
Ownership and access
You should own the domain, hosting account, and source code. Insist on admin access and code repository access from day one. Many small-business horror stories trace back to an agency that "hosted everything" and then disappeared with the keys.
